Care rotas break for ordinary reasons — sickness, a resignation, a sudden increase in need. Filling that gap through a traditional agency often means a premium rate, a slow phone tree, and paperwork chased after the fact.

Shiftium takes a different route. Carers join, complete compliance onboarding once, and choose the shifts that suit them. Providers post open shifts and only compliance-checked carers can accept. Every booking, timesheet and invoice sits in one auditable record, and a carer's pay is released the moment their hours are approved.

We're a marketplace, not a regulated care provider. Providers keep their own CQC, Care Inspectorate or CIW obligations; our job is to supply the checks, records and audit trail that evidence them.

We're early, and our first community shapes the product — not the other way round. We'll share what we learn as it grows.
